words can't describe

So I had to find a way to post a little video of Avery these days. This is her own get up. Listen closely to when she realizes she forgot the words. Funny!

Making faces at me through the fish tank at the zoo.
Look how high Easton climbed.
Getting close to nap time. So we watched a puppet show at the zoo to wind things down.

day at the zoo

Grubby girl eating a chocolate cupcake.
She is so dang cute. I bet 12 people stopped me at the zoo to tell me how cute she is. Thanks for the shirt Aunt Carrie! And the shoes from soon-to-be Aunt Amber get comments every time we leave the house.
It so much fun now that they enjoy things together. We are certainly leaving the baby stage, I now have 2 kids.
Awww.

Playhouse

I sent Kyle to Lowe's the other day to get a big box to make something and the kids wanted a house. It now has curtains, an address, and a lot of dents.

Silly girl

Her friend Evie made this crown for her. She is SO girly.
Little Ms. Attitude
I haven't laughed this hard for a long time. She's insane.
Classy!

He's getting to be a big boy

Here he is with his new lunch box. He needed it for Summer camp and he will eat lunch on Fridays at preschool this year. Now he's in the Pre-K day. Yikes.
Here he is in the tie-dye shirt he made at camp.
He drew these for Pa for his birthday. The one on the left is him and Pa. Notice Pa's red hat and how he wrote his name around himself.
Drawing on the playhouse box we got for the kids. And yes that is a pull-up hat, again.

Being Silly

This was just too funny not to share...

Sunday, July 29, 2007

Yes, that is me subsituting a drill for the motor on my ice cream machine. I'm laughing this hard because I'm not sure if I am channeling my mother or my father-in-law. The custard was made the kids were excited and we all wanted homemade ice cream (Blackberry from the yard) It was good, but I will be getting a new ice cream machine.

projects

I sewed this skirt and printed the the top for my nieces 6th birthday. Happy Birthday Kylie. It's hard to find clothes that don't have a logo or character , or aren't trashy. She's only SIX! I better get better at sewing before Avery gets much older. I didn't think I would be this prudish, but I guess it comes with age and having kids.
This is the cake I made for my friend Ann's 44th birthday. We had a very fun party at Cremant.

This was my lunch project today with the kids their face sandwhiches were so cute!

Here is a web album of the summer so far. http://picasaweb.google.com/tinashepard/Summer07
Much easier to post. From the looks of it you can't tell how busy we are with work. Life has been good. Lots of fun together.

Fremont Solstice Parade

Today we decided to brave the crowds and head down to the big parade. And yes, all the people on the bikes are naked.

One of our neighbors Tom as a preying mantis. Pretty Cool.

Cars

Easton and Avery got new cars specifically made for them by Mom. Pretty Snazzy.
